16-Bit Gems #3: Star Trek - Starfleet Academy (SNES)
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Starship Bridge Simulator. Great Star Trek game, or greatest Star Trek game? Roo finds out in this latest episode. Other important questions that will be answered: Do the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few (or the one)? How many lights do you see? And just who is the Rock-it Man?

Great blog, this could be the best blog I ever visited this month. Never stop to write something useful dude!
To start with, i found this site by Blistered Thumbs and i am very thankfull for it. i would not have known about all these 16 bit games that fall under the radar. that being said i would like to mention a game for the NES named, Star Trek: The Next Generation. i do not have a problem with calling Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Starship Bridge Simulator a good game, i dont even know if i can call Star Trek: The Next generation a good game for i have not played much of it. after seeing this episode of 16 bit gems, i was reminded of screen shots i saw of star trek the next generation, after a quick google check, i saw that it was releced in 1993 acording to gamefaqs, and you say this game was releced in 1994. i have no reason to think that this information should change anyones opinion of the game, the game should be juged on its own, and if its a gem then let it remain.
This early episode is great. This game has always been one of my favorites, and you do a great job of showing why.
I want to hear your review of the next Trek game when it comes out. It's still the first thing to come out since the Abrams film, and it's even got a story by the screenwriters of the new franchise.
Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful and beneficial to your readers.
