Watching Adventure Time! on cartoon network left me conflicted.  I really liked it, but it seemed a little too weird for the normal audience.  The whole time I felt like I was watching a tame version of Superjail.  It even has a similar intro.  Maybe because it was only a sneak preview but I think there will be a whole lot more when the show makes its full premier.

I love the idea of a boy taking up a sword with his talking dog and fighting evil just because its awesome and the cool thing to do.  Its what I want to do, if it wouldn't get me arrested.  That and living in a willow tree, that would be sweet too.  I can't wait to see more and I hope the adventures get more rad and awesome.

As a side note, it feels like cartoon network is on an upswing in quality cartoons.  Between this, Chowder, Clone Wars, and Ben Ten Alien force, its just enjoyable cartoon watching.  I do miss me some Justice League though.

Re: Adventure Time!

I really only watch Cartoon Network after 9 (central). I've got a brother with 2 little girls and they seem to enjoy all of those shows you mentioned. My bro sits and watches these shows  and has on a number of occasions tried to get me to watch Chowder.

I love Superjail, I used to sit next to the creator in detention...you know that kid I'm talking about, the one who tried to fit as much messed up stuff on the paper...

anyway, I might check this adventure time out once it hits surfthechannel.com

Re: Adventure Time!

I know exactly what you mean by that guy who drew too much weird stuff in class.  I think I enjoy most of their stuff because I'm a bit immature, that and I don't get home in time to watch the Simpsons during the week.  Cartoons are just more entertaining for me.  I've lost interest in adult swim, too much king of the hill and family guy.  I love the original shows on adult swim, but I don't have a dvr anymore and I can't stay up that late anymore.
