Armchair Thinkers Podcast with Roo & the Commodore
A few weeks ago, the fine fellows from the Armchair Thinkers invited Roo & the Commodore to record a podcast with them. A great time was had by all, and you should totally check it out, along with their back catalog of great conversations. From their description:
Episode 19 – “In Which We Join The Clan of the Gray Wolf: In today’s episode, Chris and Kyle are joined by Roo and The Commodore from The Clan of the Gray Wolf to discuss writing in video games, the 3DS, how The Clan of the Gray Wolf got started, and some of the difficulties in producing anything for the Internet. Plus, they get a chance to touch on 16-bit gems and other such video gamery. Overall, it was a great episode and you should like it, otherwise I just don’t think we can be friends anymore.”
You can find this and their other podcasts at the Armchair Thinkers website: http://ideopod.com/armchair-thinkers

So Roo... Let me get this straight. You start up a thread on 16 bit gem suggestions. But now that they've been suggested you don't really want to use them because you want to pick things that people don't see coming?
:p
Just kidding, Interesting cast, I might listen to some of their other stuff not sure yet though.
Jeez, stirring up trouble, Aestolia?
No, I love getting suggestions, since there are several that I actually hadn't played either back in the day and feel they're great additions to the series. But having said that, I love doing episodes that no one sees coming!
I appreciate you guys. :)
The Comm has got it right about producing content. When I first came here, I saw how much content you all put out and I was taken aback by the sheer LACK of members. I don't normally get involved or register to websites but when I noticed that it seemed you guys were broadcasting to a half empty house on a consistent basis with new and entertaining content, I joined up.
Trouble is one of the things I do best.
Great Job on both sides of the podcast, guys!
I'd first like to comment on a topic towards the middle of the cast. You all were talking about the quality of gaming and how it is effected by the fast pace of improving technology. The chances for creativity and writing to really find a sweet spot decreases when the next gen system is on the horizon. With all of that said, I think it's a perfect chance to talk about the increasing quality of indie games, especially those using the old mechanics and graphics of 16 or even 8-bit systems. You can see the love and appreciation for those old games really starting to come out in some very cool ways.
Other than that, I really enjoyed hearing about the origins of the clan and the uplifting advice for everyone listening. For me, personally, I'm a cartoonist with a hobby for gaming. I am trying to get myself out there and show my work to the world and one day entertain people on a larger scale. Although it's not exactly the same, your words still inspire me none-the-less.
Thanks guys!
