Razoo Article on the 2011 CD-i Charity Marathon

Hello all.  I have good news and bad news to share.  The bad news is that we're going to skip the episode of "Echo Screen Live" scheduled for this Wednesday, instead opting for episodes on the 3rd and 5th Wednesdays of May.  This allows us to still have a Pre-E3 show on May 30th, while spacing episodes out, since I'll be at E3 the first week of June.

Now good news!  The fine folks at Razoo wrote up an article on our CD-i charity marathon from last December.  They were very helpful in helping us gather funds for the American Cancer society in an easy manner.   In addition, I keep getting requests to upload the marathon so people can watch it over and over again (for some strange reason...).  I have about 40 hours saved, and I expect to start uploading them before too long - look for updates here, on Twitter, and Facebook!

3rd Annual CotGW Charity Gaming Marathon - "3 Days of CD-i"

Online fundraising for 3rd Annual CotGW Gaming Marathon
Our 3rd major video game marathon has ended a success!  And we have so many people to thank for it:
- Everyone who donated, no matter the size of the donation - without you, all this would have been just three crazy guys playing 20-year-old video games over the course of a weekend.
- Our sponsors, with a very special thank you to Andrew from videogameauctions.com, who not only generously matched large donations throughout the marathon, but also spurred the chat room with his presense.
- Our chat moderators and friends of the site, who kept things lively but controlled throughout the marathon.  They represent sites including RetrowareTV, That Guy With the Glasses, Blistered Thumbs, the Escapist, and many more.
- Dane Byers, who provided some of the equipment we used to record the stream, making it as professional as possible.
- Ustream, for streaming us on their Gaming Section page throughout the marathon.
- The American Cancer Society, for the great work they do in not only cancer research and prevention, but helping those afflicted with it to live as normal lives as possible.

We're very excited that we reached our goal, but we're not quite done yet.  Some people have still expressed an interest in donating to the cause despite the marathon's end.  Therefore, we've extended the donation period through Christmas Day, December 25th.  So if you find that you have a few dollars left over after holiday shopping, feel free to extend the total raised for the American Cancer Society.  So again, for those who have donated and those who will - thank you so much.  Until next marathon...

Again, we give a huge thanks to the 2011 CD-i Marathon's sponsors:
