Legend of Zelda Second Quest Charity Announcement
Sunday, April 3rd at 3PM EDT (12PM PDT), Pat and Roo will play The Legend of Zelda: The Second Quest in order to raise money for Americares.org in support of Japanese tsunami relief.
UPDATE: Thank you all for making the mini-marathon a success! We surpassed our initial goal of $1000, and if you missed it, we should have some videos up fairly soon. Also, if you would still like to donate to the cause, I urge you to do so directly at the Americares website.
There are prizes for the top 5 donators! The person who donates the most will get first pick of the amazing prizes below, 2nd highest donator will get 2nd pick, and so on:
Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Live Stream (Recorded)
If you missed the excitement of Pat the NES Punk and I playing our way through 1.5 quests of Zelda the other day in order to drum up donations for Child's Play, then you need not worry, as you can find the stream in its entirety below (8 videos).
And if you're so inclined, the ChipIn widget on the side of this webpage that allows you to donate directly to Child's Play will be active through the end of February, so don't let the fact that you missed the live stream stop you from opening your wallets for the kids!
25th Anniversary Zelda Live Stream for Child's Play
Thanks to all of you who watched and made the stream a success! After 7 hours, Pat and I made it through all of Zelda's 1st quest and then through the 5th dungeon in the 2nd quest (which is a lot harder than either of us realized). Most importantly, you all donated over $1,000 to Child's Play, so thank you! If you still want to donate, or find a friend who would like to, the ChipIn widget on the right side of the web site that allows you to donate directly to Child's Play will be active through the end of February, so don't be shy.
If you missed it, Pat and I will likely put the videos up at some point so you can relive the memories. I believe we recorded the whole thing, so there's a lot of memories to relive. We'll keep you apprised. Thanks much to Xtreme Network Online and Retroware TV as well for simulcasting the stream, it helped a lot. Who knows if we'll ever do something like this again, but it was certainly a good testbed.
And if you ever want to revisit it, you can see the promo video below:
MAGFest 9 - Silliness
Not everything at MAGFest can be all interviews and serious business, and I apologize what I am about to unveil.
First up was a battle long in the making: Pat the NES Punk vs. Roo at the original Super Smash Bros. Old men will tell their grandchildren tales of the struggle for centuries to come, but you can just watch it right now.
And also, from Allison Pregler (a.k.a. Obscurus Lupa) we have... this... something. It could be impersonations, or it could be the devil's handiwork. Who am I to say?
