During the prequel "reviews" you guys said that the clone wars were good. But a couple questions emerge out of this. Although i still find stupid giving Anaking a padawan... never really liked the idea.
Is there anything that you could change about the TV Show what it would be ?
Thanks to shitty prequels, we have the show which isn't bad and because its targeted to younger audiences do you find it "dumbed down" ?
Obviously we all know what's going to happen Anakin, but... what's going to happen to Ahsoka Tano (hopefully Ani will go Vader on her)?

By far, the worst part of the series are the stupid battle droids. It's like everything else was brought up a notch in terms of writing, but those were dumbed down even more. They're busy with slapstick and stupid antics while everyone else is in at least semi-serious situations. But I blame the movies for setting the precedent of battle droids that are no damn good at battle.
And I was never really disturbed with the idea of Anakin having a padawan. I actually thought it was an interesting idea, and Ahsoka doesn't grate on my nerves as much as I thought she would. Having said that, I think the only good way to end her story is to have her get Vadered. But considering this is kinda a kids show... I don't know if that'll happen.

Well obviously the writing is far superior since Lucas isn't involved. I completely agree with the droids, the humor is so silly that sometimes pisses me off. But just as in the movies, the battledroids were so fucking stupid that it didn't make sense.
I was wondering how is this going to relate to the clone wars cartoon... that I enjoyed to be honest. Since the second part of the cartoon left off where Episode 3 starts, which was really neat. I'm still trying to figure it out or how writers are going to do so.
She'll probably get killed and Anakin will unleash some anger or something.
Yeah, I'm sure that's exactly how they'll handle her death (if she does die - they may take the REALLY stupid way out and have her escape the Jedi death spree). But I think it would just be so much more hardcore to have Anakin/Vader cause her death. Bah... it'll never happen.

I hope soo too, Hopefully the producers and writers will please the old fan base and give us something like Ani slashing her in some deserted planet or someshit like that, getting her killed would be sort of the easy way out.
I also found weird how Ventress never dies, I thought she died in the cartoon, and the she suddenly came back to the TV show.
I saw one episode, lol'd and never watched again. Don't take that like I didn't liek it, because I did. I enjoyed the 5 minute shorts they did a few years. They action was badass, and I liked the expansion of the Star Wars universe.
It was a kids show so I didn't expect much of a plot, but it did what it was suppose to do, I think.
The big reason I never watched more of this one was because I could never catch it again, the one time I did catch it again it was the same one I had already seen.
^^
You can always download or rent the episodes :P
Its not that bad, specially when you compare it with the prequels.
I know, I know, it's pure laziness on my part.
I spend more time playing games online then watching videos online.
You'll be busy playing The Old Replubic when it comes out then =D
So far I do like a lot of what I/m seeing with the Old Republic, and as a fan of Bioware/KoToR...well lets say I'm really looking forward to the first voiced MMO :)
Ohh yeah, the first trailer for SWTOR was a masterpiece, probably the best trailer I've seen in a game. Kotor was awesome, really enjoyed it... (althought felt confined with the level cap). Kotor2 was decent compared to the 1st one, but not as bad as people say.
I wish the second had an epic journey like the first one did. I enjoyed kotor 2 a great deal, but at times felt uninterested inwhat was going on. I never had that happen in the first one.
I loved KotOR. Loved it.
KotOR 2 took so long to get going that I played about 8 hours into it then took about 2 years off from it before picking it back up. But then I really got into it. But for some reason right before the end of the game I just stopped playing. Still haven't finished it. Though to be fair, I do that with a lot of games for some reason.

I managed to beat Kotor 2, only because there was nothing else to play. Also managed to get the two endings. It was decent like I said before, and just like Arkus said... I didn't really care of what was going on. Bioware's fault for not making it!.
I think I still like the old clone wars cartoons better, but I do have a fondness for the new ones. I agree that Asoka is a lot less annoying than she could have been, I'm actually warming up to her. I don't know how they are gonna handle her "seperation" from Anikin, but it will be epic hopefully.
We should start an online petition asking for Ani to kill her sometime during the final season :P
But then we would know. Maybe its Obi Wan who does her in.
I like Asoka a lot more than I thought I would as well. I think they've been treating her a lot better than they could have. I actually liken her a lot to Rikku in FFX (who I also liked for some stupid reason). Hmm, I wonder if it's the same voice actress?

Ashoka isn't that bad, she's not as annoying as a lot of fans thought she was going to be. The episodes where Jar Jar is a central characters make me cringe... they're so painful to watch :(
NECW... Not even Clone Wars can save Jar Jar

Fortunately I haven't seen a jar jar episode in a long while.
I just watched an episode of this shit fest, who do I talk to get my time back?
Check this shit out, I was groovin' on the whole deal then we get to the last few minutes, where the one bounty hunter tells boba fett to tell the jedi what he knows, and then Boba whines about having to do it. Then the worst line in all of star wars is said (and yes I'm including the prequels)
"Boba, it's the honorable thing to do, and it what your father would have wanted."
Fuck that, Jango fett was a bounty hunter, his honor is sellable to the highest bidder. The Boba Fett I know would have laughed, killed everyone, and found a way to profit from it.
Why to cut Bobas balls off George.
The current Clone Wars is good but I like the old Clone Wars cartoon better. Anyone remember that?

So we've had more than one thread about hatred for George Lucas, but I thought I'd drop this in here, since there's already a thread for the show.
So....the clearly very dead Darth Maul is indeed returning, and will be on the show. And no, it doesn't sound like it's an illusion/dream kind of thing. He's actually somehow still alive and coming back.
And the order reportedly came from Lucas himself.
Sigh....You know, as if you needed any more proof that Star Wars continuity is now nothing but a massive black hole that only gets bigger all the time.
The idea of Darth Maul surviving his clear death moment is nothing new, ever since fans thought he kicked ass and wanted to see more of him....Since he did...almost nothing in his only film appearance, other than kill Qui-Gon. However, he was also brought back in a 'What If...?'-type story in Dark Horse comics. Hell, Sideshow even made collectibles of it, and Hasbro made an action figure. Still though, that was a non-canonical story. Then again, like I said, Star Wars continuity basically doesn't exist anymore anyway, so in that sense, it doesn't matter. We all know that Lucas doesn't care about continuity anymore anyway, so this shouldn't surprise anyone.
Still...Sigh....
Oh and yes, Skysamfreeman, I remember Gendy Tartakofsky's Clone Wars show. It was....okay, I guess. At least half the episodes were short and to the point. I didn't like the art style though. As someone I know once put it, it looked like a cross between the Beetlejuice cartoon and Samurai Jack. They even retained a little of that style in the current show, like look at Yoda; he does't fit in with the most of the rest of the series's style because he looks too much like they took him from Tartakofsky's show. It's like they couldn't make up their mind on what they wanted the show to look like. Anyway, Tartakofsky's show didn't help continuity either though, and just made it worse. But like I said, I guess it didn't matter anyway...

The other day I was at Dollar General. I bought two boxes of Star Wars fruit snacks. On the box, it showed Anakin, Obi Wan, Yoda and some Clone Troops.
However, open the packets and all there is inside are that shiny ship everyone rode in during Episode I, General Greivous and Clone Troopers. Nothing else.
