After threatening to become the Duke Nukem Forever of fantasy novels, the fifth installment of George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series is being released this month. Is anyone else as excited as I am?

I am. But I have been re-reading the series prior to picking up the new books and I can't seem to find a Feast for Crows anywhere in my house...

Right now im mid Storm of Swords. Im powering through these though, should be caught up within a Month or 2 I think.
I haven't started to read it yet since I was waiting for the end of A Game Of Thrones on HBO. I should get started this weekend though.

I finally managed to get my hands on the library's copy of book 5, and I'm about a third of the way through it. So far it's everything I'd hoped it would be.
I finished SOS about 2 weeks ago.... WOW. LOTR has been my favorite novels for some time now, but SOS may have officially changed that for me. I'm still early in A Feast for Crows, but should be caught up to A Dance with Dragons soon!
Am the the only one finding themselves mentally casting Tricia Helfer as Melisandre while reading these? I could just see her talking about R'hllor the same way 6 talked about 'god's plan'.
Good Call! Now that you've suggested it, I'll never get that image out of my head, and I really don't mind...
