After playing Dragon Quest VIII I saw Dragon Quest IV and V and knew that both were remakes and I avoid remakes but since I knew that Dragon Quest V was never released in North America and Dragon Warrior IV is about $100 used I decided to get the games. I bought Dragon Quest IV first for two reasons (1) numerical order (2) IV was $24.44 and V was $39.99.  After play IV I went to get V and they no longer had it, went to other stores could not find it. Thought I lucked out online from Square-Enix website store to find out it was 'Out of Stock' . Continued looking in stores till one video game store looked it up in their computer and said it was discontinued. (Which would explain why it was $75 online.)

I started to look for it used and was at EB Games that store didn't have it but offered to phone the other store so I let them, and the other store had one copy left and it was new. So I walked as fast as I could with a bicycle to the other store and ............. we couldn't find the case. I bought the game card anyways because I might not find it again. The game new was $44.99 I got 10% off which brought it to $40.49 before taxes and I had a felling I might regret it later.

Couple of month later only played the game to the first chance to save to see if it saves and check the beginning out. I went to EB Games looking for a random less than $15 game when I saw Dragon Quest V used for $39.99, looked in the case, it had everything with it. Than the regret checked in, I bought this copy for the fact that the other copy sticks out of my DS games because it is the only DS games without the original packaging. So when I got home I played it to the first chance to save since there was not save file, and afterwards I swapped cases so I didn't have the price of the complete set to remind me of it and to this day I have not played Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride.

You know, Amazon suddenly had

You know, Amazon suddenly had copies of DQ5, earlier this year. Yeah, the game went extinct, and fetched high prices from scalpers, even though the DS edition is not an 'old' game....But suddenly, Amazon had new copies they were selling again! They went for...it was either $35 or $40-ish. I can't remember, but I grabbed one right away when I found out! I also haven't played mine yet....

...but $40 for a used copy?? Damn EB/Lamestop always trying to rip people off...
