Now here's an idea that could go all over the map; what is a game, or some games, that you really dream of happening? They could be likely to happen, or unlikely to ever be.

Is there a sequel you'd love to see made? Is there a title you hope is remade? Is there a series you hope is resurrected? Is there a type of game that no one has ever done before that you want to see? Is there an overseas release that you'd like to see brought to your respective country? Is there a scrapped game that you'd like to see finished, such as Mega Man Legends 3, for example? Is there a long-awaited sequel that you're just dying to have right now, like Shenmue III, for example? Is there just an ideal game you envision that no one has made yet? These are some ideas you could consider when pondering this question!

Here's an example of a dream game from me; I'd love to see an Ultimate Mother/Earthbound Collection, probably for the DS, or even 3DS (although since I don't have a 3DS...ho boy, I'd have to buy one if this game is ever made). It would include all 3 games, which is convenient since two of them were already translated by Nintendo. However, I'd add some additional features, such as alternate text. I'd have the localized English text for all the games, but I guess for the 'die-hard' fans, I'd also have the option of switching to alternate text that's more or less exact Japanese translations. the thing is, the two games that were translated by  Nintendo had a lot of localization changes made, most of them understandable, and I'd say, also better than the original Japanese text, and others were just kind of weird. I'd present the option of switching between the two kinds of text, although they're still English-translated. I realize this would really only appeal to a certain kind of Mother series fan, and there are references, often cultural and contextual, that most non-native-Japanese folks just wouldn't easily understand, but I think it'd still be interesting to see something like this happen. And fans who can't read Japanese would get to see exactly what the original games stated.

It'd also be cool if they could add some other features, such as art work, production notes and interviews, maybe some Itoi interviews, new and/or old, and I'd definitely throw in interviews and maybe other materials with the Fan Translation Patch team, if they're willing to do it! Hell, a look at all the work that Starmen.net has done would be cool, too!

This is why this is called Dream Games; it's stuff you'd like to see. :P

     So, have at it!

Skyrim... but with some

Skyrim... but with some multiplayer aspects. being able to delve dungeons with bros over the ineternet would be fun. But not like an MMO, something more like Diablo.

Thanks for posting something in here! I guess no one else has anythng they want to see, or...wants to share, anyway. :P

But what is the difference between how online RPGs allow you to have raid parties and what the Diablo games did? They're pretty similar in this regard,  but in maybe a little bit more of 'old school flavor' to them, I guess. :P I think I do know what you mean though; you don't want Skyrim to have the 'social aspects' of online RPGs as much. Fair enough!

Well Diablo had lobbies and rooms. Typical mmo's are just free for alls. I wouldn't mind something like Hellgate London or Guild Wars, where the cities are soical hubs, but once you're out in the world you are by yourself or with your party.

Well, The Legacy of Goku games for the GBA were actually RPGs, I believe!

Cough.

No, I got'cha. There aren't any JRPGs that I'm aware of, but I think it could be kind of cool, too.

You know what would be fun to see?

A collaboration of of Square(not Square Enix) and Atlus, then use their talents to develop a game that had the appeal of both SMT and FF, and with the weirdness of games in their weirdest library!

i have two ideas

1) A completely player driven MMO. EVE online is close, but id prefer to not be confined to your ship only. EVE is real close though.

2) A true sequel to lunar 1 and 2.

This.

Haven't really played Diablo, but Champions of Norrath?  More games like Champions of Norrath I could definately go for.  Never really played that online though.  More into PvP heavy mmos really.

I really want a Shadowrun mmorpg.  Like the one for Genesis.  With local multiplayer would be awesome too on the Wii U.  I so want to be holding off guards or other runners while the decker is hacking into a system with the tablet thing.  Aliens is sounding like it could be really sweet and might have a similar thing going on.

SuperGarbage  "I want to see a Dragonball-Z JRPG"

I'd be shocked if there wasn't.  Hell there was a 3x3 eyes rpg.  Translated in english though maybe not.

Oooo also.  A new Ogre Battle.  Not like the tactics ones.  Like the snes one.  With online.  Build your army.  Take on other players armies.  *drool*

I would deffo play an mmo

I would deffo play an mmo version of Shadowrun or Ogre Battle.

One of the things I would really like to see is a txt based mmorpg that rewards instead of penalizes players for specialization. Where you could choose to optimize an individual skill and turn it into an in game career. Where a player who spent a year or more working to lvl up an individual skill like for example weapon smithing would make better gears than even a big money donator could buy. Or craft one of a kind magic items. I have played a lot of games that teased you by having job elements, but they all ended up expecting the player to be in the end a jack of all trades and a master of none. Or even penalized you for too much specialization by requiring certain lvls in multiple skills for advancement. Certainly it was always easy for donators to circumvent the whole system and shortcut to ascendancy just by buying big money gears or upping skills through dropping cash, not time. I think being able to have a career would help non donators to lvl the playing field through time spent and also help all players become more immersed in their characters and the game world they are inhabiting.

Maze I'm so with you on that. I'd so be down to jack in, meet my Mr. Johnson, and geek some breeder scum for cred >.>

The interesting thing is that it would even be possible to get around one of the major problems with the pen and paper: Decking. Either you had to Have a team of deckers... an NPC decker, or set up a special session with the decker to do it on the side. Otherwise it's like 'ok time out guys while we do the matrix, go grab some pizza or something'

I would so totally be down for that.

SuperGarbage, there are

SuperGarbage, there are Dragon Ball Z JRPGs that were untranslated for the NES and SNES (and probably everything else). Some are good, and have recieved translations.

Of course I am going to say a successor to the X-Wing franchise. It'd need procedurally generated planets, a physics system that allows travel akin to that in Star Wars (as in orbital mechanics with gravity, etc), atmospheric effects such as density and weather having an impact on flight characteristics, a good repulsor system, reworked flight characeristics to allow PvP to be more engaging, large numbers of ships/lasers/etc on-screen at once, the ability to drive tanks/walkers/submarins/etc., and a lot more. :-P It's  not going to happen, but I'm going to try to make it happen if I can get a lot of money. LOL

@Mog and ShirowWolfYou guys

@Mog and ShirowWolf

You guys seriously never played Diablo? Go to your favorite torrent site, and download and make that shit work and play it... or buy Diablo 2 from the blizzard store.

Great games, that had a pretty good multiplayer aspect. The games were divided up into rooms, you could make them open to the public or put a password on your room only allowing the people you wanted. This allowed you and your party to actually feel like heroes, unlike typical MMO's that just put everyone on a server and you have to fight or share everything.

WoW is a fuin game and all, but i don't feel like a hero, and even on RP servers it's jhard to feel special or powerful when everyone else is "special" and "powerful"

@SuperGarbage Hold shift when you hit enter and it will single space the return command from enter.

Also this:

http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Ball_Z:_Super_Saiya_Densetsu

At one time or another I hada translated rom, but the translation was pretty lazy, and a lot of the game was still unreadable. Word of advice, the game is freaking hard, and it the battle system is sort of retarded. The cutscenese are pretty awesome to watch tho... but they get old and you kinda wanna just play the game after awhile.

I...didn't say I never played Diablo. I did, some; I just don't care for the series. :P Besides, if I did want the games, I'd just buy the Battle Chest.
