Echo Screen Live #0 (4/7/2011)
Last Thursday (April 7th) we did our first live broadcast of the Echo Screen - an event we'd like to hold at least once a month. You can find the recorded session below. What did you think? What did you like? Anything that bugged you? Let us know your thoughts in the comments so we can build a better show.

This seriously got me really excited!
I was worried you guys were gonna forget about what time zone. :-P Ya know, I think I actually have Thursday totally clear. I might even wake up by 6:30 PM. Should be pretty cool.
Soooo... text chat or video chat? Do it Around The Horn style?
It'll be text chat via ustream for the time being. One day, we may allow call-ins...
Yay!!!!
Sounds cool. I'll be watching. :)
What a great way to spend my birthday, I was hoping for something cool in my nerdy life department, and this fits the bill nicely. Btw, I've watched literally ever video on this site and I think you guys are doing an amazing job but my favorite part is the Echo Screen!!
Hmmm...
How useful will I be if I wake up at 3:30 AM to participate?
I guess there's only one way to find out!
Yeah , I was thinking about waking up for it just to ask some questions and stuff.
The Zelda play through was awesome cause it was on at 3pm there time, so us UK guys can get in on the action!!
So is there going to be a general topic, or literally a free-for-all in terms of whatever the chat room is able to come up with?
Deities and Demigods! We've owned that book for 20 years! (*swings my old man cane*)
I found it to be pretty freaking awesome. Can't wait to do another one.
Storytelling before graphics!
Great job guys! was cool watching a live pod cast. Would be cool to have an live/active weekly wringer sometime.
The only constructive criticism that comes to mind at the moment is maybe let us know ahead of time what the topics will be so we can come up with better questions for you :D
Even with some technical difficulties here and there in the beginning, this was definitely a "SMAAAASH!!" success! Being live was pure awesomeness because we could be apart of the podcast itself, give our live feedback and questions on the spot ( as well as hate on you guys for not sharing the cookies 8D ). I would also have to agree with 'bigguy' as well to give us a general topic that you guys would be discussing about before the podcast so we can better prepare questions and know what we'll be getting ourselves into.
I'm positive everyone else will agree with me that you guys should definitely do a live podcast for every echo screen!! keep up the good work =)
God damnit!!! I missed it! I forgot when it was, I was expecting a post saying "3 more days!!!" or something. I do have a few off topic questions to ask that might not relate to whatever you guys decide to talk about. Give us a sooner notice so we don't forget next time!
So you seemed pretty excited about your new server, Roo. Want to brag about it? :)
As far as MineCraft, is it gonna be vanilla or will there be a mod or two installed? There's some pretty crazy ones out there, but it does make things more difficult on the server side.
We've been wanting to install an unmodded world, but possibly backing up and replacing the world every once in awhile with various modded ones for fun.
Ooh a Minecraft server? I've been looking for one forever but my friends say that I'll burn down their houses just like I did IRL, but they are all just craaaaaazzzzyy *Hides flamethrower*
Will it be a whitelisted server so only 'The clan" can get in. Or should we be called "Gray Wolves"?
The stream was awesome guys! Excited for more "Echo Streams" :)
Will it be posted to the site for those who missed it/live in time zones that made attending unrealistic?
Yes sir, already posted up! Something else we'll have to figure out is a better time to run these so that our European friends can get in the fun. Perhaps Sunday afternoons, like how Pat and I have done our recent Zelda streams.
Hey Roo, now that the vids are up (and sorry for not asking sooner) is there also an mp3 coming?
Man, you guys are asking for EVERYTHING, aren't you?
I'll see what I can do, Aestolia.
Thanks, if it's too much bother then don't worry about it. I'm really just being lazy in asking, there's no real reason I couldn't just rip the stream, extract the audio and combine it all myself. :p
I just like having an mp3 since I can listen on my comute to/from work.
Woo! I'm excited to see that some 32bit gems could happen! :D
I'd be willing to temporarily donate some GREAT Saturn games to be reviewed, I have a decent sized collection and some cool harder to find titles so that might save you guys some time.
At the very least I could give you some recommendations
Some great Saturn games I have played are Iron Storm, Dragon Force, and Shining Force III. Plenty of games out there that I’m sure no one has heard of considering that almost no one owned a Saturn =x
Astal, Panzer Dragoon 2: Zwei, and Panzer Dragoon saga, and burning rangers are a few of my favorites
WTB MP3 link. Thanks!
The "Echo Stream" was awesome. I was only able to watch the recorded version, but I loved it. Give us a notice when the next one comes on, and I'm there.
