You SHOULD make geek cards - you could include one with every purchase over $x in the store.

Re: Echo Screen #1: Gaming as an Adult

I work as a journalist. I've been with the same girl since I was 15 years old. I'm 27 now (as of yesterday). She and I have broken up and gotten back together at least 10 times since then. My best friend considers us "Cory and Topanga." I guess that would make him Sean.

Anyway, she knows that I like to play, even World of Warcraft. She just makes fun of me for it. We aren't married, or even engaged (yet), but with her being in veterenary school, it kind of evens out for me. Chances are it'll change in the next few years. But she's cool with it if I want to go to a friend's house and get trashed while playing Mario Kart 64 until midnight. As long as I don't have to work the next morning.

She has more of a problem with me eating meat than playing games.

To be perfectly honest, I've had more nostaliga going back and watching the early seasons of Star Trek: DS9 (thanks to the Star Trek Echo Screen) than I have gaming lately.

Amazing talk guys I loved

Amazing talk guys I loved every second of it and can't wait to watch the rest (But will wait for later because I want to play games while I can before I become one of you...) One of the things I was thinking of while you were starting was what would happen to you 3 in maybe 20 years? Will you still be gamers? Will it still be weird to be a 40/50 year old gamer? I came to the conclusion that it would not be weird anymore. I figure that 30 years ago is when gaming got big, with the start of the Atari and NES, and the children of those days have grown up and are now 30 years old and it is a little odd to see grown men play games but you know that they grew up with this so it isn't too odd. Now a 40/50 year old started gaming in their teens or even 20s. So it seems a little more odd, knowing they weren't always gamers. Now in 20 years when you 3 are 40/50 (I will be in my 30s) you guys will still be the people who grew up with games. You can take the games out of the gamer but you can't take... wait what? I had this perfect line to sum up all of this^^^ but don't remember it. Well you guys see what I mean right? I hope to ask you during your live echo screen where you think you will be in 20 years.
