Ever lend a kid in school one of your games and he never returns it? Man I was so pissed. It was Turtles in Time for the SNES. What pissed me off was that I lend it to him like during the last week of school before summer and then we move onto different schools for High School. I'm still pissed off at myself to this day.

Oh yes, the same happened to my Run Saber and F-Zero for the SNES. The RAGE did not subside after all this time.
I never lent out games but my sibling did lend out Donkey Kong 2 with the box for Clue (the SNES version of the board game) and when it was time to give the game back the other person sold their SNES and all the games, found out who bought it and my sibling explained about the game but the person said that game was the reason they bought the lot. Another game was Yoshi (game only) for Heavy Shreddin' and I don't know the reason why it was never gotten back.
The thing that bugs me the most is when I re-bought both games Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 3 are in boxes but not Donkey Kong Country 2, and Yoshi I had the empty box for years and when I bought the game for $10 I found Zelda II (which I spotted first and Yoshi was on top of it) at the same time for the same price and one game is worth $10 used the other is priced high for he's a popular Nintendo character that tags along with Mario.

I had a handful of SNES games taken from me, a friend said that his father's ex girlfriend broke it off, stormed out and grabbed her things along with some of theirs and my games. Whether it's true or not, I'll never know, this was back in Elementary School and I graduated High School in '05, yeah, I'm never seeing those games again. =\

A buddy of mine has another buddy of mine's SNES. He's been "borrowing" it for 12 years.
I leant the SNES lendee my copy of Ice Hockey for the NES, and he kept it the entire time I was in college, but that was ok, because I didn't need it during that time. I got it back when he downloaded it on Wii-ware.
Then I sold the game at a retro game shop. The store was destroyed by the tornado in Tuscaloosa on April 27. Who knows what happened to my copy of Ice Hockey as a result of that storm.

A friend of mine borrowed Max Payne for the PS2 from me. Never got it back from him, he always forgot to bring it to school or had some other lazy excuse. At the same time, I had borrowed Final Fantasy VIII for the PC from him, and in an act of revenge I never returned it to him and still have it in my collection :) .
Some years before, I lent International Superstar Soccer Deluxe (SNES) to a friend who moved away, so I never got that great game back.
A family friend borrowed a pile, A PILE of RPGs from my family. Breath of fire 3-4, Parasite Eve, Tales of Destiny, Brave Fencer Musashi. A lot of really good games. Its been about eight years and they still haven't been returned. I've managed to rebuy a few of them from retro game stores and the internet (Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasy VIII-IX, and Chrono Cross), but the one that probably hurts the most is Lunar 2. I loved that game to death, and am really glad he had no interest in another of my Working Designs game, Vanguard Bandits. Needless to say, I don't lend out my video games much anymore, at least not unless it is in exchange for something of equal or greater value.
