Well it's November once again and I just gotta know...
Have we got any NaNo's here? Despite wanting to take part for the last 10 years, I always found some lame excuse not to. Well this year I'm actually going for it. Would love to have some writting buddies.
For those of you who don't know what i'm talking about:

It's really an honorable feeling to take part on such event, and I'm a writer myself, but I'm in the other side of the ocean, so that would make me a sad panda. T_T
Well, just enjoy what you do and write a very magnificent novel.

That's not a sin right?
I think I've heard of this, but alas, have never done it. It's like 24-Hour Comic Day; it's something I'd kind of like to do, but don't think I'll be able to in the forseeable future. Sigh...
Good luck if you do it though, Aestolia! Let us know how it turns out!

Homer, no reason you can't participate because of where you are.
Personally i think they should rename it InNoWriMo, since it really has become an international thing. Here's a quick breakdown of the "rules", for those that don't want to go to the site.
- Nothing you write before november counts towards your word count.
- The work should be fiction
- write 50,000 words by the end of nov (average of 1667/day)
- The rules only really matter if you want to 'win' in a given year.
That's really about it. Sadly my writting's been going slow. I've been hit with this horrible weird sleep problem lately that's made it hard to focus on anything. But i'm only behind by about 4k words >.>. Once I'm done I may publish it up here (if that's cool by everyone). It would of course be a first draft, but who knows if people enjoy it, I may take it and polish it up.

I guess it might make more sense to re-name it, if geographic location doesn't matter in order for you to participate. Good point!
Yeah, I would never be able to keep up such a daily word count. I just can't do it. If I did to just to get it done, then I'd eventually just start writing nonsense that didn't go anywhere that would be nothing but pointless filler, and that's no way to do it. I also have always had problems with plotting, so trying to write an entire book in a month or so is just never going to happen for me anyway. I wish it could!
One of my roommates participates in something called 750 Words though, in which well, as it says, you write 750 words, daily. I think that's a great exercise, and it's something I should do, too, but alas, I have not yet....You of course, don't have to join the site in order to write 750 words down, or anything down to begin with. :P But 750 Words is a site to join in itself-- http://750words.com/
