Re: nice site guys
Thanks, and a book forum is not a bad idea. I know that Boomer's real big on sci-fi and fantasy novels. And I just got done blasting thorugh about 6 books straight in the Star Trek: TNG relaunch...
I like this site as well. It's a great place for me to get my geek side out, if you know what I mean. I absolutely love 16 bit gems. It's my favorite part of this site hands down. It's always fun to hear about fun games that I've never played, like EVO or Zombies ate my Neighbors. Roo, you are a god, and I simply must build a shrine to you in my bathroom
It's vampire romance (necrophilia anyone?) It's just a shitty movie, and a shitty series of books. It is a set of books aimed at 16 year olds which features some of the following lolz:
sex so rough between the main characters it breaks the bed
when the main character is with child, the vampire has to cut it out with his fangs....yes his fangs.
vampires don't burn up in the sun....they sparkle!
it just becomes up where anne rice left off with the castration of vampires. I thought we were suppose to destroy the unholy undead, not make love to it...they aren't green women after all.

Re: nice site guys
Welcome to the site, to everybody I may have missed the first time. :)
On the subject of forums, I realize this is a pretty basic layout for them, but it'll work for now. The Commodore and I are looking into sprucing things up a bit in the next year as some more Drupal native forum modules are developed. Or perhaps using phpBB... there are a lot of options, but there's no rest for the weary.
found out about you from Roo's posts on 'Earthbound Central' -
i had to join and tell you guys how much i really enjoy and love your site!!!
my 2 best friends and I have known each other since kindergarten and through our friendship of 21 years and counting- we have been playing D&D off and on for 18 years, warhammer off and on for 11, and video games for the entire 21 years! wow, now i feel old and very nerdy!
and nothing ive come across on the internet or otherwise has reminded me so much of myslef and my 2 dear friends : )
the podcast roundtables have such a special energy; it is very comforting and homey because anyone can tell within minutes that the 3 of you have been such good friends for years- so naturally i love watching them
just had to let you know how much the site and podcasts mean to me!!

Re: nice site guys
Thanks TeamMountain, that means a lot.
It is funny you mention that, since this whole website was born out of an idea that was kicked around on one of our weekly D&D nights. And several of our podcast ideas were lifted directly from conversations we've had on such nights in the past (like the SyFy one, and of course the Star Wars one). I'm glad the enthusiasm for the subjects comes through. :)

Cool, honestly I just want a place to scream my thoughts about twilight that isn't 4chan...
:)

Arkus: Twilight... the wife actually came out the other night and said she wanted to watch that. Why do I get the feeling it's a trap?
Cycopather: Well thanks. Though I don't know if I've yet reached the same level of bathroom shrine worthiness as the Itoi.

Roo, only another reason you deserve a shrine, your modest.
P.S. I already have several shrines. Maybe I can put you between Chuggaaconroy and Itoi

This is a cool site and I'm glad to find a community to discuss nerd things and super nintendo goodness.

^^
A shoutbox will be a better idea.
I totally think a chat room would be a great idea. Especially since it seems like nobody is on when I get on (stupid Pacific Standard Time)
OK, we'll look at adding a chat room. Drupal has a chat room module and we need to take a good look at it and talk it over.

Ok, good to know.

If it helps, I know of a purely javascript/php chat client for websites.
A book room would be awesome.
