Painful Memories in Gaming - Pokémon
Can you play so much Pokémon that it affects your judgement? What's the best knife for stabbing? Why couldn't women have babies on The Island? All these questions will be answered... oh wait, no they won't. But this episode is more about character development than answering mysteries anyway.
And before you say anything, it's a little known fact that the Commodore's father invented Crocs. The pair you see here were his first prototype.

I lol'd
I'm sure that Arkus would find Pokemon painful just for being Pokemon . . . .
Can I come over and play 52-Cheerio pick-up with you guys?
When I try to watch your shorter videos on CotGW they are jerky and the sound gets way ahead of the video even if I wait for the video to completely load to the browser.
But I have no problems with the same videos when watched via YouTube
TommyJames: Strange, I'm not having that problem. Is anyone else having similar issues?
Roo, I'm not having the same problems.
...Oh lord, the socks!
For some reason, I don't have any problems with the Echo Screen videos. Just some hesitation every couple of minutes.
Ha. Hmmmmm, maybe we should play the pokemon theme in the CotGW orchestra
Tommy: Well, the non-Echo Screen videos are of a higher bitrate and resolution, so there is that difference. But I'm not sure why that may cause problems, especially if you let them load the whole way before watching them. Not to cast aspersions, but do you have a less than optimal computer or internet connection? Do you have similar problems with other videos on Blip?
I'd love to lock this problem down, so if anyone else has any ideas, I'm all ears.
I have that issues everyonce-and-awhile, but turning off my torrents and warcraft seem to clear it up. Check whats foing on in your task bar, and bin and make sure you don't have other programs running in the background that suck up memory and bandwidth
Another great video guys, Commodore kudos on the "Don't Mess With Texas" T-Shirt (pass that on Roo)
I watch it all on a HP netbook , model HP mini 110-1025DX.
The video settings are locked at 1024x576 resolution and 32 bit color quality.
RealPlayer insists every time I go to watch a video that I change the settings to a minimum 600x800 and 16 bit color. The video (which I downloaded via RealPlayer) was still kind of herky jerky but the sound was well synced.
Good old Shady Pines Asylum, haha. I'm such a big fan of this series of videos. Commodore really delivered an emotional performance with his present reaction. Hope you guys didn't have to do too many takes of that shot! As fun as 52 cheerio pick up is, the replay value isn't that high, haha.
Had no problem playing the video on my machine. And clearly as exhibited in this video we can lay to rest the great debate of the 21st century. As nothing woos the ladies quite like talking Pokemon, haha.
Excellent work guys!

Opinions?
Looking forward to it. Hard to believe that Pokemon haven't had their own opening animations in battle since Crystal (I think).
Figures we have to wait so long in the US though...
@Roo: Not so just in till March of next year

I'm stunned, no one here did seem to get any of the various Lost-references (or just didn't comment on it). Like the flashback sound, also used in some of the 16-Bit Gems episodes. Actually, I've been kind of wondering, if you guys are huge Losties or have got a love-hate relationship with the show, like so many others.
Anyway, it's always funny to see these scenarios played out, imagining what it'd be like to wear your "gaming glasses" all the time. I mean, I've been there...
I have to say im a pokemon nerd, but im not THAT hardcore.
Did he really invent crocs?
