I got this book for Christmas, and I simply could not put it down.
It's the first in a series of books that are science fiction, wrapped in a fantasy setting. The book plays some great games with the conventions of science fiction writing that involves time travel and time paradoxes. I'm really looking forward to the next book. Anyone else reading this?

Sound interesting might check it out, but first I have a question.
About the 'science fiction, wrapped in a fantasy setting' when reading the product description it mentions 'one that wants him crowned' does this take place in the past when Royalty are in charge?

About the Royalty thing I am asking does this book do the 'time travel to the past so it takes place in a medieval setting so the author can use that time period but with people not from that time.'

The book is set on another planet in a medieval setting.
