 It is a shameless plug, admittedly, but it's also the truth. We don't make enough money off of merch to do more than consider upgrading to a new server or buying domain names that fit the clan, like rapingthecanon.com. Obviously, CotGW is a more about a labor of love and  building a community of gamers than making money.  The store is only a means for the community to invest in the website.

Besides...I think a rapingthecanon t-shirt could be fun...and I think I might need to add one to the store. Thoughts?

As always, if raping the cannon is added to the shirts, I would like to request a mugging the doctor shirt be added too.

Something to keep in mind though- Lucas at least isn't directing Red Tails. Yes, he wrote the story, but not the screenplay, and he is a producer, but he's not the only producer. So yes, there is a chance this movie won't entirely suck. :P

This was mentioned in one of the Echo Screens, but as long as Lucas isn't directing, it'll probably be okay. He didn't direct 2/3 Original Trilogy movies, or any of the Indiana Jones movies, you know, and a lot of fans like EV and VI more than EIV, the one OT movie he did direct.

So I wouldn't entirely dismiss this movie yet. I know there's a lot of Lucas hate around here, and I do sympathize. I am also not defending him in anything he did. Just trying to get people to settle down and keep their rage under some control. :P

  So, uh, here's a....curious article. Lucas went on The Daily Show and claimed Hollywood wouldn't back the movie 'because it's an all-black movie', and they all told him 'We don’t know how to market a movie like this."

   Uh....okay? So...Hollywood is racist? No one makes movies with an all-black cast, and never will? And what qualifies as a 'green' movie, exactly? There are...many ways I could interpret that, but this is Lucas, so...who knows what the Hell he's talking about, really. I don't necessarily doubt that Lucas did approach producers, companies, etc. and he was told no, and someone did say 'we don't know how to market this movie;' but uh, how many people did he ask?

    The article also mentions the more patriotic purposes Lucas intended for this movie to display, and I can also imagine some in Hollywood turning that down, too. I don't necessarily doubt that happened either. Still though, he...tells a weird story, and I know it's Lucas, and he's...senile, so....who honestly knows?

I expect there to be a re-release of the movie once it comes out replacing the African-American pilots with ewoks.
