I thought it would be interesting to hear stories from people when it came to gaming, games or the like.
I'll go first:
When I was probably 13, my dad had a computer connected to the internet. It was awesome. The 14.4k modem wailed like a banshee and the hard drive wasn't even a gig.
One afternoon, I Yahoo-ed Lara Croft. The first picture was a 3D rendering of her naked. I was too afraid to look at it, because my dad was in the room with me watching fishing while folding clothes.
That night, I planned that I was going to look at that picture. I woke up at 4:30 in the morning, crept downstairs to the den where the computer was, fired up that banshee of a modem (terrified the noise would rat me out) and Yahoo-ed Lara Croft again.
I looked at the picture, got a bit of a chubby and I was done. Then I went back to bed. I felt like such a bad ass because I'd actually looked at "porn" on the internet.
It was hella better than watching the screwed up porn on the upper channels you didn't actually get (props if you understand what that means).
Games huh... nah lets just talk about porn! I didn't get into the internet back in the 14.4K days, but I did start tooling around when 56K modems were cool and AOL was still sending discs in the mail. My dad got a Compaq computer running Windows 3.1. But I mostly used that for forums. I actually used the modem on the Dreamcast back in the day quite a bit for surfing the net, mainly cause it was faster than the computer I had at the time lol. Now one of the cool things about using the Dreamcast was since it was hooked into the TV via the VCR was I could tape things I did on the internet. So naturally, I taped porn on the internet so I could watch it on my own TV later!
Honestly I don't have many interesting stories about playing games. Probably the coolest thing that ever happened was after playing a hour or two of Muramasa on the Wii, all the colors started to blur. I haven't had that same problem since then but it was kinda like a free acid trip the way all the bright colors mixed and moved around.

I remember the time that renting an internet during the dot-com boom costs almost 2 dollars an hour(45 to 50 Philippine peso), and the internet was damn slow... But who cares, everyone must take baby steps. :)
