Steve Jobs lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and has died. Despite what some people may think of him or Apple, that's a terrible way to go, and I hope detractors realize that and at least feel some sympathy. I wonder if his recent stepping down as head of Apple was due to him knowing that his time was almost up....

I don't agree with everything Jobs or Apple did or does, but you can't deny the great and innovative things they did either, and of course, the impact on electronic history they made is completely undeniable. They didn't do everything 'perfectly,' but they made a lot of leaps and bounds, and well, just neat stuff that worked great.

For a little humor, here's a classic skit from Mystery Science Theater 3000; Crow and Servo's PC VS. Macintosh debate. Yes, this clip is old, as you can tell; OSVII wasn't out yet! D: But still, it's funny.

(Hmmm. Guess I can't imbed here)

Rest in peace, Steve, and thoughts and prayers to his loved ones.

He's a hero and an innovator

He's a hero and an innovator of technology. Without him, we would not have the benefits of almost futuristic gadgets that we have today.

You are one great human being, Steve Jobs. Rest in Peace!

When I heard he had died the

When I heard he had died the first place I rushed to when I got online was his wiki page, damn that changes fast. Then I came right here. Anyone else do the same?

I unfortunatly don't have much to talk about besides what was pointed out in that Weekly Wringer and how sad I am he is dead. Whenever someone who changed the very way peopel live and techonology is created it just slows me down. I'm going to sleep after typing this, but I just wanted to see how many people would have posted in here by now.

It's been kind of empty here

It's been kind of empty here this week. Not much going on.

I didn't go to his Wikipedia page, but now that you mention it....yeah, it....does change really fast, or can. Sometimes it changes too fast and gets ahead of itself, as there have been times when they listed a famous person as dead who had not died yet. We all knew this 'encyclopedia that anyone can edit' couldn't possibly go wrong, right? Cough.

Eulogy

Yeah, I heard the news and went on here, with that last weekly wringer so recently in my memory. I thought that while it started out as a tribute to a man who changed computing, it is also a very fitting eulogy.

So, you get what's ironic

So, you get what's ironic about him having pancreatic cancer right?

PC killed Steve Jobs.

That is all.
