So something I've read recently and haven't been able to find anyone to talk to about is the new Next Generation relaunch that apparently started a few years ago and recently swept throught the epic "Destiny" trilogy that had major implications for the franchise as a whole. Anybody else read this?
To sum up, after it was clear that Nemesis was pretty much the end of the Next Generation story arc for the forseeable future, a bunch of authors got together and realized that they could pretty much play in the sandbox without worrying about a movie coming along and retconning all of their work, as long as they all accepted the changes each successive author made. That began a line of interesting books involving Q, the Borg, and the (about half) new crew of the Enterprise-E. As I said, the Destiny trilogy, which deals with the Borg in a new way entirely was rather epic and generally ewll received. So if anyone's interested, I suggest picking up a few of the books from your local library (if they have them) and giving it a looksee. Then I can finally talk about it with people!
The list of relaunch books can be found here (but careful about digging around too much, there are a bunch of spoilers around!)

You might be interested in a seris of books called Titan, Which is about Captain Riker and his crew aboard the U.S.S. Titan. I'm not sure if these take place after Nemisis, but I havethe feeling atleast the newer ones do.

Edit: Ok they all take place after Nemisis, beccause aparently thats where they get Riker got the promotion to captain...even tho he has been gunning for a captains chair since day one. The logical conclusion to the TNG series is that Riker goes on to be captain of his own ship, but, you nkow, they neede a line from a shitty movie to establish what everyone already knew...
You know, I haven't specifically read any of the Titan series, but that Destiny trilogy I talked about does include that crew, since it's actually more of a crossover than strictly three TNG books. In fact, it hops between the Eneterpise, the Titan, a ship commanded by Ezri Dax (I know, just roll with it), and the Columbia (from Enterprise). So you really get a lot of bang for your buck there.
I enjoyed reading about the Titan crew though, so I might have to pick up a few more of those books.

I haven't read any of these books (nor do I really have any plans too) but when I worked at the bookstore these actually sold very well...normally only after the first month of release, but it was hard keeping them that first month.
