Hmmm... maybe contests of some sort? Kinda going with the flash/java arcade idea from arkus, or maybe some video game contest where you would post a video of you playing the game and getting a certain score or something.

Chatrooms would be nice, and an arcade would be fun, we could play some Super Mario Crossover.  It's been suggested before in other threads, but I think member blogs could work as well.

Oh, and some sort of art section could be cool as well

Chat and member blogs are all I can really think of for things I'd like added to the site. It's already super duper awesome.

Integrating a chatbox using a PHP script like Blab! would be quite simple to do. A friend of mine modified his version to create several relevant rooms and a history system that maintained 3 days worth of stuff...plus member bio pages and private chat capabilities. The best feature was the integration of image uploading, a pop-up box let you upload an image from your computer that would stay on the server for a few days for whomever you wish to show it to.

I think chat is likely one of the next big things we'd want to look at after the forums are updated.  Kurara, your story inrigues me, and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I know next to nothing of what to do with PHP, if you have the technical know-how I can contact my friend to see if he has a copy of his sourcecode laying about. :)

(Or you can google Blab! or other similar scripts and see what's up and coming in that world of stuff. There might be better stuff out as the modifications made date back to 2004)

I personally am not very tech savvy when it comes the internal workings of the website - that's mostly the Commodore.  I can handle a lot of front end stuff, but I usually stay out of anything related to PHP.  But I'll certainly bring it up with him at some point so we can start digging around for info on how to integrate something like Blab! on the site.  Thanks.

I looked through my old stuff and found several scripts that might interest you. They include image hosting, blog hosting, and a whole lot of crap for vBulletin and other forums which I used to make liberal use of a while back. If you or the Commodore need a sort of bare-bones script to work with I probably have something useful somewhere.

Chatrooms: The website should still be undergoing a major under the hood upgrade in the next month or so (I have to talk to the Commodore about that) - I'd like to hold off on chat rooms until then.  But they're coming.

Music and Cons sections: That sounds like a pretty good idea.  I'll look into that a little bit and likely add them soon, see if they work, and evaluate.

I would like to see a way the get back to the previous forum page. Right know I am at Forums/Clan of the Grey Wolf/What we want to see next - Website edition I would like a link taking me back to Forums/Clan of the Grey Wolf instead of having to got back to the main Forum page.

All I really do is click the recent posts heading on the main page, respond to the most recent and call it quits for that session.

No reason we couldn't set up an IRC Channel for it all, I used to maintain one for some people a while ago, setting up a channel bot isn't that difficult.

I'd love to but the Commodore and Roo have revoked my admin privileges.  I'm not able to post content. At this point, they may revoke my ability to post as well.

Could be a joke but than again Capt. Commodore thought the Lt. Commander Boomer was a Ensign so he might of revoked his privileges, or it could be Roo that revoked Boomer's admin privileges since he sabotage the Weekly Wringer.

It was not a joke, but apparrently they've been restored. We're dealing with some friction right now about the business of the website, but I'm sure we'll get it sorted out.  Besides, a little drama keeps things exciting, right?

Fix that shit. Business can break apart even the best of friends. I know you three are more than that.
