Spend a month farming Halls of Reflection for one sheidl for my tank set
Finally get shield after several fail groups
later that week in Icecrown 10 man get a replacement shield on thrid boss
FFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!
Now, this may sound like good news, but trying to get specific gear in WoW So you can get ready for these end game raids is very time consuming, and when replacements take less time to get than the gear you had ot farm for, it makes all that eailer effort seem worthless
Farming is the monotony that eventually killed WoW for me...although I did find that botting was a fun challenge on it's own and relived the bordome of farming.

I don't mind farming so much , ithink it's what keeps people playing, and thus paying. But would it kill blizzard to change drops rates, or create A warden to monitor loot in dungeons?
An example of somethign that pissed me off pre-BC: Lets say you find a group for Onyxia on the allaince sidem and after downing the only raid boss. Hey look, the helm fo storms (the t2 shaman helm), oh wait, we are alliance, we don't have shammys yet. Fail.
This actually happened a few times with the tokens in BC, where a token would drop and not a one of the thre classes was in the group. Oh we just had to disenchant teir gear, and now we haveto wait ANOTHER week for something for this group to drop. Fail.
Not really related to your particular FFFFFFFFFFFFFF, but there is so much material from this game that would make a great PM. I'm definitely going to have to take a note of this. Thanks for the idea!

Point of interest: This week is Childrens Week on WoW. It's a group of events where you run a orphan around and show the ma good time and what not. This year the orphans name was Roo.

I was the last Grand Marshal on my server, pissed me off when they changed the Honor system...
I also did he wintersaber mount grind... probably the longest and tedious grind befeore the Burning Crusade.. it was a pain took me like 2 weeks a good couple hours a day and later in BC they decided to rep up that grind...
a few weeks ago I finally got the money together for my chopper (the bike mount). That was 15.5k I had to grind out.
Sweet, I didn't know I was a WoW orphan...
Also, Arkus, would you say that you had to... get to da choppa?

I am completely over farming the randoms in WotLK. I'd had enough of it shortly after the random dungeon finder was released. It's a great concept, but I'm sick and tired of doing freaking Culling of Stratholme FOUR TIMES A DAY (before you could skip the dialogue) and Halls of Lightning just as often.
Now I'm just an altaholic.
